It started with change.
Xash is a Zimbabwean digital payments and retail-enablement company, registered in 2022 and headquartered in Mutare. It exists to make essential digital services accessible at community level while creating commission-based income for merchants and agents.
Shops used to lose sales because they had no coins for change. A customer buys, the till has no ten cents, and everyone loses a little. Xash started by fixing exactly that: give change as airtime instead.

From that one counter problem grew a platform: a prepaid USD wallet that lets any shop sell airtime, data bundles, ZESA tokens, DStv, WiFi vouchers and transfers — and earn commission doing it. Today the network counts 120+ active agents, with roughly US$1,500 moving through it daily and about US$10,750 in weekly agent deposits.
