It started with change.
Xash is a Zimbabwean payments company, registered in 2022 and headquartered in Mutare. We help shops sell essential digital services in their own communities, and the shops earn commission on every sale.
Shops used to lose sales because they had no coins for change. A customer buys, the till has no ten cents, and everyone loses a little. Xash started by fixing exactly that: give change as airtime instead.
"Get airtime or a bundle on your change from as little as 10 cents."
From that one counter problem grew a platform: a prepaid USD wallet that lets any shop sell airtime, data bundles, ZESA tokens, DStv, WiFi vouchers and transfers, and earn commission doing it. Today the network counts 120+ active agents, with roughly US$1,500 moving through it daily and about US$10,750 in weekly agent deposits.
